Meet The Owner
Kathleen Opeka
Ten years ago Kathleen relocated to Tucson to further her career in wilderness education. Since then she has traveled through many areas of the Sonoran Desert, mostly backpacking but even by kayak in the Sea of Cortez. Through these travels she developed a deep love for this region and its biodiversity. Tucson is home.
While raising her family in Tucson, along with her husband, they began to spend their free time installing and tending to gardens on their own property. They found through this process they found joy, nostalgia, mental health, food, conservation, and more.
